OVER CROWDED CHURCH
It is quite naturally to feel happier when you think you command a greater audience than your competitors. It gives some inward satisfaction. But such satisfaction could not be termed spiritual but canal. Such so large congregation hardly meetbthe yearnings of worshippers

This is why it bothers me when I think of why pastors like large congratulations that they virtually cannot relate with individually.
Who is a pastor? The best anology in the Bible is that of a Sheppard. If a pastor is a shepherd, then he is supposed to have very intimate relationship with his flock. But very unfortunately the large crowd pastor is only seen in the pulpit. When a member of the flock needs private prayers or counseling, the supposed pastor send a church worker. Then how is the pastor truly a Sheppard?
Jesus said a true Sheppard knows the voice of the sheep. But today how many of the large crowd pastors actually know where their sheep stay? How many know their problems?
Pastoring is not a one man show, neither is it measures by crowd. A true pastor is one who knows and shares in the problem of the sheep. To do this, a hundred members is enough for any local church. Involve more hands, and get the congregation the benefits of a Sheppard--sheep relationship.
  Be true to the end.
